Misha Khan
For Science Senator
“el pueblo unido jamas sera vencido”
-Jorge Eliécer Gaitán
Misha Khan (she/her) is a 4A Biology and Political Science student from Mississauga, Ontario, and she really, really, likes Pallas cats (they’re the only species of cats that have round pupils).
During Misha’s undergraduate career, she has advocated for the Palestinian cause through her involvement in UW’s Voices for Palestine and other grassroots organizations where she has campaigned to end the university and government’s complicity in genocide and apartheid. Misha was instrumental in achieving disclosure of the university’s investments, as well as the end of the university’s partnership with the complicit Israeli institution, Technion.
During her first term as an at-large senator, she advocated for undergraduate student voices in the Undergraduate Student Relations Committee, the Senate Research & Innovation Council, and the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee. Misha has been consistent in defending student rights to free expression, upholding high standards for educational technology, and holding the Co-op office accountable to their mandate of serving students.
