Katherine Wang (she/her) is a 2B Environment and Business student who grew up in and around Waterloo.

Katherine has extensive experience working on the Environment Students Society and is currently serving as Co-President, after starting as an Events Director while also serving on the Council of the Environment and Business Society. Through her extensive work within her Faculty and the University as a whole, she has heard growing concerns about a multitude of issues relevant to Environment students. As President, she exemplified engaging in conversation with her peers, and pushing for the concerns and suggestions of Environment students to the Faculty.

Katherine is advocating for more student support and growth in the Faculty of Environment, as well as creating more opportunities for co-op jobs relevant to the studies of Environment students. She believes in more informed education for Environment students around their potential future opportunities.

Outside of her advocacy and environmental affairs, Katherine is a skating coach at Kitchener Waterloo Skating Club, and patiently helps children and adults of all ages with their skating journeys. She is also an active volunteer around the Waterloo Region, taking time to volunteer at rinks as well as early education centres, just to name a few. She has always been big at taking risks and is passionate about being able to advocate for the well being and best interest of students.
