Arya Razmjoo

Arya Razmjoo (he/him) is a 4A Communications and Legal Studies Student from Newmarket, Ontario.

Arya was WUSA’s Vice-President in 2024-25, during which he helped amplify the federal advocacy voice of Waterloo by joining the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations (CASA). He continues to represent students by serving on WUSA’s Board of Directors and the University Senate.

During Arya’s time with WUSA, the organization launched the Change Engine, funding grassroots student-led advocacy and innovation, and expanded affordable student-run food options through Chaska and Smarty Pants. In 2024, WUSA hosted Dillon Francis in the first large-scale concert at Waterloo since 2006. Arya also contributed to the reinstatement of the Ombuds Office, and helped create WUSA’s 2025–2030 Long-Range Plan, setting a strategic direction for the organization for years to come. Outside of Waterloo, he previously served as Vice-President, Finance for the Ontario Undergraduate Students Alliance (OUSA), advocating to protect the interests of undergraduate students across Ontario.

Arya is running for Director to continue strengthening WUSA’s role in empowering students, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities that make campus life more inclusive, accessible, and vibrant.

In his free time, Arya enjoys cooking and travelling to new places, exploring different cultures and cuisines.
