Andrew Bradley Chang is a 3A Accounting & Financial Management student from Markham.
Andrew has served as your Arts Senator for the past year and a half, alongside roles on the Board of Directors of both WUSA and the Accounting & Finance Student Association(AFSA). Throughout his tenure, Andrew has been a fierce advocate for student interests, addressing issues ranging from departmental concerns within the School of Accounting & Finance to transparency regarding university endowment investments.
One of Andrew’s most significant achievements was his leadership during the 2024 co-op fee increase. By collaborating with student senators, Society Vice-Presidents Academic, and WUSA, he helped develop an advocacy strategy that successfully rolled the fee increase from 10% back to 4%. As Chair of WUSA ‘s Audit Committee, Andrew also spearheaded a comprehensive auditor review and helped create WUSA’s first Investment Policy Statement to ensure both ethical and financially prudent investment of student funds. This initiative, alongside his amendments to Board Policy to create an annual investment review process, ensures that student money is managed with maximum transparency, performance, and risk oversight.
With a deep understanding of university bureaucracy and governance, Andrew is ready to tackle the challenges of the upcoming year. As the university navigates a budget crisis, Andrew will focus on protecting the Faculty of Arts from course and program cuts and holding the administration accountable for their promises during the Faculty re-organization.
In his spare time, Andrew can be seen applying to co-ops, networking for co-ops, or playing League of Legends and Valorant.
